Tanya Gervasi
Tanya Gervasi is the founder of IN HER GENIUS. Born in Belarus in 1988, she grew up in the Italian countryside near Turin, where her love for storytelling began to flourish. By the age of 12, her striking appearance led her to the modelling world, and by 15, she had worked with Vogue Italia and various national campaigns. At 16, as her body changed, she transitioned to plus-size modelling, gaining further prominence in Italy. However, despite her success, Tanya sought more meaningful pursuits and enrolled at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, where her passion for food and mindful eating took root.
After graduating, she moved to New York to pursue modelling and acting but found the experience unfulfilling. She returned to Europe, where she ventured into creative projects, including writing two food TV show pilots and publishing a poetry collection titled Della Bellezza e Del Silenzio. Tanya also became involved in environmental initiatives in Puglia and Piedmont, which brought her attention on Italian TV.
A pivotal moment in her life occurred when she met Shaman Michela Chiarelli, which led to a spiritual awakening and a deeper exploration of her shamanic gifts. This journey of self-discovery profoundly shaped her current path. Alongside her artistic work as an analogue collage artist, Tanya now focuses on IN HER GENIUS, a platform that celebrates the authentic and sometimes unconventional journeys of women. Having stepped away from modelling, she currently works part-time in a deli while continuing her writing and publishing efforts. IN HER GENIUS reflects her own life experiences and the lives of many women who navigate complex, multifaceted paths that defy societal expectations.
Michela Chiarelli
Michela Chiarelli, born in Monza in May 1976 and originally from Calabria, embarked on a profound and challenging spiritual journey from the age of nine, when her grandmother initiated her into shamanic practices and the sacred path of priestesshood. This training was not merely a set of teachings but a rigorous, life-altering ordeal that pushed her to the brink, testing her resolve and spirit in ways that could either transform her profoundly or break her. Michela's commitment to this path is reflected in her two Italian bestsellers, Favolisticamente Magia and A Scuola dalla Sciamana, where she details the intense and demanding nature of authentic shamanic training and its profound impact on her life.
Her early passion for music and art led her to teach intuitive music and work as a singer. After moving to London, she realised her true calling as a healer. Upon returning to Italy, she and her husband began practising healing, and Michela expanded her knowledge by exploring various healing modalities beyond her grandmother's teachings.
Michela has written extensively on ancient Italian shamanic practices, publishing books like Magia del Mare and Segrete Leggende della Magia delle Fate. Her works focus on authentic Italian shamanism, preserving traditions that predate modern syncretism. She is notable for being the sole author writing about Italian and Mediterranean shamanic traditions from direct experience, coming from a long lineage of matrilineal priestesses—she is the 7th generation.
Gifted with second sight and channelling abilities, Michela's artistic pursuits also reflect her spiritual insights. Since receiving an iPad Pro from her husband, she has embraced digital art, using it to channel and depict spiritual beings and realms.
Currently, Michela balances her time between raising her two sons, praying, creating art, and healing people. She continues to publish new works through IN HER GENIUS, which also translates her most significant books into English. Despite her extraordinary life, she describes her daily routine with a touch of humour and humility, saying she is simply "everyone’s mom."
Tiziana Ghiggia
Tiziana Ghiggia, born in Turin in the 1960s, has had a life marked by both profound personal challenges and notable achievements. She displayed a strong independent spirit early on and pursued studies in Literature, Philosophy, and later Journalism. Her journalism career was cut short due to her candid writing, which led to the dismissal of the newspaper’s director.
Following a serious accident and subsequent unexplained health issues, Tiziana faced scepticism from medical professionals, who often labelled her condition as madness. Her journey to understand her health led her to the Bhagavad Gita, which sparked her interest in exploring the link between physical ailments and spiritual causes.
Her quest for answers also led her to the Italian Shaman Michela Chiarelli, with whom she explored past lives and their impact on her current life. This experience inspired her to write Visioni di una Sciamana (2018), reflecting her journey through spiritual and health discoveries.
Tiziana further expanded her knowledge by studying Homeopathy, though she could not practice due to incomplete medical training. Despite facing personal and professional challenges, including caring for her ill parents, she chose a path of service, working as a military nurse and later as a 112 operator.
In her personal life, she leads a private existence filled with books and a few cats, dedicating her nights to writing spiritual investigative works. Her collaboration with Michela Chiarelli has resulted in unique books about divine entities, with IN HER GENIUS translating and publishing their significant works in English.
Stefania Magnani Simeoni
Born in Mantua on May Day, 1971, Stefania M. Simeoni has lived a life rich in artistic and intellectual depth. Her poetic talent emerged early, earning recognition with a notable mention in the European competition "Movimento per la Vita" during her final year of high school.
After graduating as an accountant and commercial expert, Stefania pursued a Master’s Degree in Philosophy at the University of Verona, focusing on "Tragic Beauty in Helle Busacca." Her academic journey sparked a deeper exploration into spirituality, feminist theology, and mysticism, particularly from a feminine perspective.
Stefania's work as a true woman mystic is characterised by her life of solitude, which she embraces to fully attune herself to what she calls "soffio"—a divine breath that inspires her writing. Her poetry reflects this deep connection with the divine, creating a space where readers can bathe in love and spiritual resonance. She has actively participated in significant philosophical and mystical seminars, including those organised by the Diotima Women's Philosophical Community and the Mysticism and Politics 2020 seminar.
Currently, she is involved in organizing the private library of the theologian and mystic Ivana Ceresa. Known as La Bruja del Viento on Facebook, Stefania has garnered a following for her emotionally resonant prose and poetry. She is an active member of the Poeti Viandanti (Wandering Poets), a movement dedicated to the creation and dissemination of poetic culture through collaborative and public events. Her poetry has been featured in two anthologies published by Poeti Viandanti, with proceeds donated to Emergency.
Despite numerous awards and mentions, Stefania has yet to publish a full poetry collection. However, she is set to debut her first anthology in Italian in 2024/2025 with IN HER GENIUS.
