Lillian Gilbreth

Il 24 maggio 1878 nacque Lillian Evelyn Moller (poi Gilbreth) il primo ingegnere donna con Ph.D., e prima psicologa industriale/organizzatrice.

Rimasta vedova con dodici figli applicò i suoi sistemi anche in ambito familiare inventando elettrodomestici da cucina essenziali, come la pattumiera a pedale e il frullatore elettrico. Definita negli anni ’40 come “il genio nell’arte di vivere” si è spenta il 2 gennaio 1972.

Born on May 24, 1878, Lillian Evelyn Moller (later Gilbreth), was the first female engineer with a Ph.D., and the first industrial psychologist/organiser.

Widowed with twelve children, she applied her systems also to the family environment, inventing essential kitchen appliances, such as the pedal bin and the electric blender. Defined in the 1940s as "the genius in the art of living", she passed away on January 2, 1972.
