Caresse Crosby

Caresse Crosby (New Rochelle, 20 aprile 1891 – Roma, 26 gennaio 1970) fondò la Black Sun Press con Harry Crosby, suo secondo marito, e insieme “lanciarono” autori destinati a grande fama come Ernest Hemingway, Charles Bukowski e Anaïs Nin, introducendo il concetto di arte erotica femminile.

Curiosamente, trovandosi nella necessità personale, inventò e brevettò nel 1914 il primo reggiseno moderno liberando tutte le donne del mondo dai corsetti fatti con ossa di balena, scomodi e dannosi per la pressione che esercitavano sul torace.

Caresse Crosby (New Rochelle, 20 April 1891 – Rome, 26 January 1970) founded the Black Sun Press with Harry Crosby, her second husband, and together they "launched" authors destined for great fame such as Ernest Hemingway, Charles Bukowski and Anaïs Nin, introducing the concept of female erotic art.

Curiously, finding herself in personal need, she invented and patented the first modern bra in 1914, freeing all women in the world from corsets made with whalebones, which were uncomfortable and harmful due to the pressure they exerted on the chest.
